Treatment Planning
Once Dr. Hales has a clear understanding of your goals and current oral health status, he moves on to the exciting phase of treatment planning and digital smile design. This step is where the magic begins to happen, as you'll get a glimpse of what your new smile could look like. During this phase, Dr. Hales will discuss the various treatment options available to achieve your desired results. He'll explain the pros and cons of each procedure, expected outcomes, treatment timelines, and costs. This collaborative approach ensures that you're fully involved in the decision-making process and comfortable with the proposed treatment plan.
Preparation
With your personalized treatment plan in place, it's time to begin the transformation process. The preparation and treatment implementation phase is where Dr. Hales' expertise truly shines. Depending on your specific plan, this stage may involve multiple appointments spread over several weeks or months. Dr. Hales pays meticulous attention to detail during each step, ensuring that every aspect of your treatment is performed with precision and care. He also works closely with top-tier dental laboratories to create custom restorations that match your natural teeth perfectly in color, shape, and translucency.
Final Placement
The final stage of your smile makeover is where all the planning and preparation come together to reveal your stunning new smile. During this phase, Dr. Hales carefully places your permanent restorations, whether they're veneers, crowns, bridges, or implant restorations. He takes great care to ensure that each element fits perfectly and harmonizes with your natural teeth and facial features.
Get all of your questions answered for FREE before you even step foot in the office. Upload pictures of your smile and a description of what you would like to change and what questions you have about veneers. Dr. Hales will create a personalized video for you to answer these questions and introduce you to his process.
An in-person consultation is a great option for a more in-depth meeting with Dr. Hales. During the in-office consultation, you’ll have the opportunity to get a Smile Test Drive by Dr. Hales. With the Smile Test Drive, Dr. Hales places a removable material over the teeth to show you in real-time the potential of your smile with veneers. The test drive smile can be worn for a few hours so you can truly “try before you buy.” The Smile Test Drive will give you the assurance you need to move forward with veneers with full confidence.
A 3D scan or impression (*for out-of-town patients) is created of your current smile. This serves as a guide for the design of your new smile with veneers. Dr. Hales begins the design consultation with the ceramists to create a wax model of your new smile. He communicates what changes you would like to see with your new smile, including your goals for the color, shape, and size of the veneers.
Your natural teeth are prepped for veneers by removing minimal tooth structure from the natural teeth. The goal is to remove the least amount of tooth structure needed to achieve the aesthetic goals for your smile. Molds are taken, and temporary veneers are placed. Temporary veneers are models of the final veneers. You wear the temporary veneers while the ceramist crafts the porcelain veneers.
Temporary veneers are removed. Porcelain veneers are bonded individually to each tooth to complete your smile transformation. Your bite is digitally scanned to ensure proper alignment and function of the teeth. Your new smile is also scanned for a night guard that you can wear at night while you sleep to provide additional protection to your veneers.
